Your account

When you sign up we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password (never the password itself). A session cookie keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. It is essential for the service and isn't used for tracking.

Your CV, cover letter and applications

When you're signed in, we keep the CV file you upload so you can preview exactly what employers get. It's stored privately, only you can open it, and replacing it deletes the old one. The CV text, cover letter choice, interests and applications you add are stored in your AutoCV account so they are there next time you log in. Only you can see them. We don't sell or share them, and we use them only to find your matches and run your applications.

Job matching

Job listings come from public job boards (such as Jobicy and Remotive) and link back to them. To search, we send those boards only the job title and location you choose, never your CV or name. Before you sign up, the CV text you add is sent to our server just to count matching jobs, and isn't stored.

The ATS checker

The CV and job advert you paste are analysed in your browser. They are not uploaded or stored.

Founder list

If you join the founder list we store your email address, the page you joined from and the time. We use it only to tell you when Pro launches. We never sell or share it. Ask us to delete it at any time.

Server logs

Like most websites, our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, browser) for security and to understand traffic. These are kept for a limited time.

Cookies

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
